Volvo S60 Reviews
Total Aggregate Score
4 / 5
Now better to drive while retaining Volvo’s traditional strengths.
3.7 / 5
The Volvo S60 is a handsome, comfortable and subtle alternative to conventional executive saloons from Audi, BMW and Mercedes.
3.5 / 5
The new small S60 has style, an innovative well-made interior, pioneering pedestrian-in-the-road sensing safety equipment and a new range of five-cylinder engines.
7 / 10
For all the talk of a newfound sportiness, the S60 remains very ordinary to drive compared with Audi’s A3 saloon or BMW’s 3-series. Instead, the S60 is a safe and stylish choice, and if you choose the D4 diesel engine, it’s a quiet, powerful and fuel-efficient one, too.
3 / 5
The S60 is a good car in the right specification, but the DRIVe model lacks the sparkle of its mainstream S60 stablemates that keen drivers will expect.
3 / 5
he Volvo S60 is a good choice for compact exec buyers seeking value, but it’s bettered by newer rivals.
6 / 10
A safe, sensible, comfortable saloon. Not a patch on the latest BMW 3-Series, though.
3 / 5
The Volvo S60 is an appealing alternative to its German rivals, even if it's not as good to drive. It scores best for safety and comfort.
2 / 5
This is the worst Volvo I've driven in years, and the worst current-generation S60 ever, and I'm not going to recommend it to anyone unless something is done to make it less uncomfortable.
