Suzuki Jimny Reviews
Total Aggregate Score
6 / 10
For anyone seeking a rough-tough ultra compact 4x4 with genuine off-roading ability, the Suzuki Jimny is one of only a handful of options.
2 / 5
The Jimny is noisy, not very comfortable and less practical than most small hatchbacks, and I think its safety is questionable. As a town car or a country estate workhorse, it has a lot going for it.

With an engine that whirrs away at anything above town speeds, too much wind and road noise, and a generally low standard of comfort and quiet. Throw in the bouncy ride and body roll and the Jimny is not a car for tackling long distance drives in.
2 / 5
Cute but dated, the Suzuki Jimny offers rugged 4x4 ability in a package that's the size of a city car.
1.9 / 5
Cheap, cheerful and tough, the Suzuki Jimny is one of the UK's smallest 4x4s.

If you live in the wilderness, or perhaps on a farm, and need a cheap, dependable runabout that’ll cope when the terrain gets tough, then a Jimny is a fine choice. For something to use purely for on-road driving, however, it is well below average.

The Jimny is capable off road, but it’s too far behind its small SUV rivals in too many other areas to recommend.

The Suzuki Jimny is a tiny, cheap and rival-free hardcore off-roader. Does what it does quite brilliantly. Does everything else appallingly.
