Mini Paceman Reviews

4 / 5
Whether you like the term or not, MINI is famous for its go-kart handling with direct steering that responds immediately you turn the wheel. The Paceman is no different and through the twisty stuff the MINI Paceman is a lot of fun.
4 / 5
The MINI Paceman mixes MINI Countryman practicality with a bit of MINI Coupe style to good effect.
3.5 / 5
Within the Mini Paceman range, the Cooper SD ALL4 exists in that sweet spot where acceptable economy and emissions meet strong performance.
3.1 / 5
The MINI Paceman is an intriguing proposition. It offers decent rear space and powerful engines, but without the practicality of five doors or the driving appeal of the hatch.
3 / 5
Assuming you insist on having a MINI of some sort, you can get more space with the Countryman and a better driving experience with the hatchback. The Paceman is a compromise between the two, and in our view not an ideal one.
3 / 5
The light steering doesn’t offer much feedback, but body roll is well controlled.
5 / 10
At a stretch, we can see a point to the 4WD versions, but really though, this is an unnecessary diversion. And not a very pretty one, either.
2 / 5
Well made, but the Paceman can't quite decide if it wants to be a practical SUV or a sporty coupé. The result is that it does neither very well.
