Mercedes GLA Reviews
Total Aggregate Score
3.7 / 5
SUV looks with hatchback performance, but at a price.
3.5 / 5
A decent effort, but too ordinary in too many ways to justify the price.
7 / 10
A likeable thing. Go for a higher powertrain and it makes most sense.
7 / 10
It's a compact crossover with the heart of a hot hatch on steroids. Even by Mercedes' standards it's a niche proposition, but for buyers seeking a practical, visually arresting shape with more performance than your average GTI hatch there's little else on the market.
3 / 5
The Mercedes GLA is more raised A-Class than proper crossover, and is smaller than the BMW X1 and Audi Q3.
6 / 10
The Mercedes GLA isn’t as practical as an Audi Q3, nor as fun to drive as a BMW X1, and unless you can live with the slightly sluggish entry-level engine, it’s far from cheap.
3.5 / 5
You could say that the GLA-Class is the SUV for people who don't want to be seen driving an SUV, since it doesn't actually look anything like one. Luggage space is quite good and you definitely get a feeling of modern-day Mercedes quality when you're sitting inside.
2.9 / 5
The Mercedes GLA is an SUV crossover with an upmarket interior, affordable running costs and a relaxing driving experience.
2 / 5
The Mercedes GLA looks good – both inside and out – but rivals are better to drive and cheaper to buy and own.
