Review Summary
It's a genuinely good-to-drive saloon with a part-time sporty edge.

Car Keys
Review Summary
It's a great car to drive, it's very well-equipped, and thanks to the now universal hybrid technology it should be cheap to run. With the possible exception of the fabulous, and much more expensive, LS, it may be the best car Lexus currently builds.

Review Summary
The Lexus GS is a competent car, but it's up against very strong rivals from Mercedes, Audi and BMW.

Auto Express
Review Summary
The Lexus GS is a serious alternative to German executive saloons, and top-spec hybrids offer great performance.

The Telegraph
Review Summary
Lexus's executive saloon was always good to look at and very comfortable, but this latest 300h hybrid is also good to drive. It doesn't get around the inherent issues of the Toyota hybrid system, but it's a well priced alternative to the German executive saloon hegemony.

What Car
Review Summary
The Lexus GS is quiet and comfortable, but finds itself up against some strong competition. The GS F is interesting, but hampered by a poor gearbox.

Review Summary
If you (or your fleet manager) can live without diesel, this is a smart A6 alternative.
