Fiat Tipo Reviews
Total Aggregate Score
3.5 / 5
n key aspects including the drive, practicality and efficiency, the Tipo is not a class leader but it’s not far behind in any of these areas. It also comes well equipped as standard and does feel like value for money, which makes it easier to forgive the flaws you could pick out in areas such as the interior.
3.3 / 5
If you’re after a small family hatchback that’s strong on value, practicality and standard equipment, then the Fiat Tipo could well be for you.
3 / 5
The Tipo hatchback is back from the ‘80s, facing a new set of rivals.
3 / 5
The Fiat Tipo is a spacious family hatch that offers decent value, but not much else.
6 / 10
The Fiat Tipo doesn’t excel in any particular area, and in a lot of ways it falls far behind the market leaders. But the flexibility of the pricing structure and a very low starting figure means that the Tipo could still prove tempting.
6 / 10
Probably Fiat’s least interesting car, but that doesn’t mean it’s worth ignoring if you love a bargain.
2.5 / 5
Acceptable but a long way removed from the class’s sharp end.
2 / 5
The Fiat Tipo is cheap to buy, well equipped and spacious, but it's still hard to recommend.
Crucially, though, it doesn't look like a budget car and, for the most part, it doesn't feel like one either. It's cheap and cheerful in the best possible way.
